Cherwyn Developments Ltd was established in 2018 as a family run property development business based in the heart of Somerset and creates beautiful homes in the Southwest. Our business brings a wealth of working knowledge within the residential development sector for over 30 years from being able to deliver development opportunities to landowners, to the management of our own residential developments. Our Southwest based business has a growing reputation of building quality new homes in rural communities.
Land & Planning
Our land and planning team is constantly seeking new residential or mixed-use development opportunities of all sizes, regardless of planning status. With our experience and knowledge, we can work with you to ensure the development achieves its full potential.
We also work closely with designers to ensure the development has the relevant features to ensure local authorities understand the development’s size, layout and how it can help to benefit the local community of the Southwest regions.
Construction and Development
The construction team ensures that quality is a key priority and is reflected right from the beginning through to hand over, achieving the relevant building standards within residential development.
Our method of building combines traditional, sustainable and modern processes together, ensuring that each development is uniquely constructed. As a result, we have built a diverse development portfolio, allowing us to produce unique and exceptional homes.

Christopher Winter
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Chris is the founder and Managing Director of Cherwyn Developments. The company was born out of Chris’ 30 years of construction and development experience.

Alison Winter
ACCOUNTS DIRECTOR
Alison has a background in banking and more recently accounting. Alison now heads the Accounts & Management team at Cherwyn Developments.

George Winter
CONTRACTS MANAGER
George joined Cherwyn Developments in 2019 after working with Kier Construction for several years. He has managed a number of developments with Cherwyn and is now overseeing live projects as well as focusing on preconstruction aspects for the business.

Stuart Thompson
SITE MANAGER
An experienced Construction Site Manager with a previous background in carpentry and joinery. Stuart has successfully completed construction projects in some of the world's most austere locations including Africa and the Middle East during his military career. He joined Cherwyn in 2023 from David Wilson of which he previously played a key role in the site winning team for the Pride In The Job awards.
